My emotions flow like a stream over rocks most of the time, but every once in a while they collect into a little pool and swim there. Those are my favorite days, when the sun shines down upon the still water and reflects back into the sky like a handful of diamonds.
On other days, the current carries me over the barrier of collected debris and my emotions are battered against the wounded banks of the flowing stream. It can be difficult to navigate.
I am sad today because someone else is in great pain.
