After a long and hot summer, Gloria and I have finally resumed our walking dates again. Today we discovered the Police Memorial Park in the far north-west part of Las Vegas. The view of the city was fabulous and the walking trails were easy…until we crossed the road to an adjacent sports park, where the high winds kicked up a dust storm that almost knocked us on our butts, which pales in comparison to the 110 steps of the concrete stairway we huffed and puffed our way up at the end of our long walk. I can’t wait for the next adventure!
I thought my muscles would be sore tonight, but surprisingly I must be in better shape than I expected. Whew…there is still hope.
Thanks for taking us along on your walk.
It’s all part of a bigger plan to get in shape. We started walking in the spring, but the summer heat stopped us in our tracks! Hopefully, by starting in the fall we can get way ahead of the game before next summer traps us in the house again.
A change of scenery is always good for the soul.If only we HAD souls! But it feels good anyway! 🙂
I don’t know, Rob, we might have a soul, but I don’t think it goes to a heaven or hell after we die…I’d prefer to believe it jumps from one living host to another and hopefully mine will jump into the body of a billionaire’s offspring next go around.
